Ambientada en la década de los 70, los miembros de la famosa Patrulla X tendrán que evitar un futuro apocalíptico en el que los mutantes luchan por sobrevivir en campos de concentración controlados por los temibles Centinelas. Para ello, los héroes del universo Marvel deberán unificar sus fuerzas dejando a un lado la creciente enemistad de los bandos liderados por Charles Xavier y Magneto. Trask Industries, la empresa encargada de crear a estos gigantescos cazamutantes, será el origen de todos sus problemas. Tan sólo viajando en el tiempo podrán impedir la masacre que se avecina. ¿Serán capaces nuestros héroes de derrocar a la multinacional y evitar así el exterminio de su especie?
