Nica (Fiona Dourif) está destrozada tras el terrible suicidio de su madre. Su hermana mayor Barb (Danielle Bisutti) regresa a su casa para ayudarle en este duro trance, trayéndose con ella a su hija pequeña, quien posee un muñeco parlante llamado Chucky que llegó misteriosamente por correo.
