En esta secuela, Ip Man (Donnie Yen), llega a Hong-Kong y abre una escuela de Wing Chun, pero pronto entrará en conflicto con un maestro local de Hung Fist llamado Hung Jan-nam, quien es interpretado por Sammo Hung.
