Violento film de gángsters que relata los intentos de un traficante de drogas por recuperar su "territorio" perdido mientras cumplía prisión. En Nueva York el crimen se hace a la manera de Frank o no se hace. Recién salido de la prisión, Frank White se reúne con su antigua banda para retomar su posición como "señor de la droga" de la ciudad. Se enfrentarán en sangrientas batallas al resto de capos de la ciudad y lucharán por estar en la cima. Incapaces de volver a poner a Frank entre rejas, la policía también les declara la guerra.
