Segunda Guerra Mundial. En junio de 1940 finalizó la invasión nazi de Noruega. Muchos noruegos huyeron al Reino Unido donde se unieron a los Aliados formando la Compañía Linge. En 1943 se encargó a doce comandos de la resistencia noruega una peligrosa misión consistente en destruir una torre de control del tráfico aéreo de la Luftwaffe en Noruega. Tras abordar un barco de pesca en las Islas Shetland al norte de Escocia cruzaron el Mar del Norte para llegar a su país. Traicionados por noruegos colaboracionistas, once miembros del grupo fueron capturados y asesinados. Solo el duodécimo hombre, Jan Baalsrud, logró escapar de los nazis. Esta es la historia de la fuerza y el coraje de Baalsrud y de quienes le ayudaron a huir a Suecia.
